The People vs Rev. Donald McCrae
When a fire-and-brimstone preacher launches a crusade against a proposed Pride march in a small Scottish town, he expects the town to follow. His campaign succeeds in bringing a community together against him.
Reverend McCrae is a failed missionary on the brink of irrelevance. The more people he tells about his protest against a Pride event, the more his message spins out of control. Inspired by real events, this 60-minute comedy traces a town rediscovering its better self in the face of prejudice.
A sharply drawn portrait of faith, fear, and the ties that bind a community. This world premiere is brought together by a world-class team of international artists with decades experience of making theatre in Europe, the Middle East, and Australia.

My background is as a theatre director, filmmaker, and writer. I love a dark comedy, and this story is one that is very personal to me. I create films, make theatre, magazines, and do a lot of visual art in-between. I've directed Oscar Wilde in the Middle East and got out before they realised who Oscar Wilde was. With such wonderful actors and talented crew I'm under no doubt that this'll be a barnstormer of a play. Enjoy!
