Spring Awakening

In a small town in 1999, a group of teenagers’ grapple with their burgeoning sexualities, identities, and desires in the face of societal and parental repression, and the consequences are disastrous. A work so bold and audacious in its depiction of teenage self-discovery, it was banished from the stage and its English version was censored for nearly 100 years.

Dr. Chris Hay’s translation is brought to life by the second and third year actors of the Flinders University Drama Centre, South Australia’s leading centre for actor and director training.
