Sometimes Give Up
In 2019, Simon Bower gave up performing stand-up comedy due to panic attacks and other mental health issues. After a period full of study, growth, a diagnosis or two, losing friends, finding love and learning to dress himself, he returns over six years later to explain why he's incredibly proud to be a quitter.
Equal parts crass and clever, 'Sometimes Give Up' pokes fun at the hypocrisy of the hyper persistent: taking aim at steadfast stalwarts like Winston Churchill and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and pointing out how they were big ol' quitters too. Delivering personal stories and observational comedy with disarming honesty and a sly grin, Simon Bower brings you a hilarious, heartfelt, maybe even inspiring hour of stand-up about how losers never quit, and quitters never lose.
