Le Bug - A young man dressed as a bug with legs attached holds a cigarette with comical smoke coming out of it. He has a comical frown.

Le Bug

Goodnight, sleep tight... and don't let the bed bug bite.

Le Bug is the last surviving bed bug in Adelaide. He’s hungry and revolting, wrestling between what he wants more: pleasing the crowd or satiating his hunger.

Set against the backdrop of a violent Adelaide bed bug purge, Le Bug is part absurd comedy, part biting satire.  Revolutions, like infestations, often begin unnoticed. Can one lonely, disgusting, horrible bug change the world—or even himself?

Forget peace, bread, land. This is peace, bed… bug.

He is “a louche French bedbug flirtatiously prowling the audience with insouciance until he’s reprimanded and acts like a scolded child” (Chortle)
