Hyperfantasia
FRINGE WORLD AWARD WINNER 2025 - Overall WA Dance & Physical Theatre
Imagine being transported to a 1920s cinema—a world of flickering film reels and slapstick comedy. Breathing life into the silent film era, Hyperfantasia celebrates the trailblazing flapper women who dared to embrace freedom and femininity in a world where their voices were muted. Set to the sultry rhythms of jazz, this dance-theatre production pays homage to these early feminist pioneers where female sexuality is both desired and feared.
"...the most exciting home-grown work I've seen in Boorloo/Perth all year on any stage, large or small" - Wolfgang Von Flügelhorn (2025)
"A performance as unique and innovative as this can be hard to come by." - Sharmaine Tan (Fringefeed 2025)
