Cherub
'Cherub' is the fiercely funny and deeply personal debut solo hour from Palawa comedian Tarsh Jago. Sparked by a tweet that read, “You don’t look Aboriginal, you look like the cherub from the Pears soap,” this storytelling stand-up show dives headfirst into the absurdities of race, queerness, and identity. With wit as sharp as it is tender, Tarsh unpacks the realty of being read as angelic while navigating the realities of being Blak and queer in so-called Australia. 'Cherub' is a reckoning wrapped in punchlines — a luminous, laugh-out-loud hour that’s equal parts cheeky and confronting.
