Loved it! Equal parts eclectic, funny, cheeky and dancy. The show made me want to jump out of my seat and join in the super impressive, high energy dance routines.

A powerful unravelling of the magic behind our interoceptiveness and a timely reminder of becoming divinely guiding in our own lives and in our own community ecosystems

A FAST AND FUNNY INTERPRETATION OF THE BARD'S BIGGEST WORK - ALL THE KEY PLOT POINTS WERE HIT, LEAVING TIME STILL FOR REFERENCES TO OTHER SHAKESPEARE AND MODERN WORKS. THE ACTORS WERE ALL GREAT BUT DIDN'T TAKE THEMSELVES SERIOUSLY AT ALL WITH AN AIR OF PARODY ABOUT IT - OVERALL. IT WAS A GOOD BIT OF FUN!

A VERY FUN EXPERIENCE OF A WEDDING CEREMONY - THERE IS ALL THE USUAL ELEMENTS, A SPEEDY SERVICE (WHICH EVERYONE WANTS). A GUARD OF HONOUR, BOUQUET TOSS AND MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE SIGNING. BUT MOST OF THE TIME IS SPENT GETTING READY WITH GLITTER, ACCESSORIES AND OUTFITS ALL PROVIDED.
Singin in the Pain - Curtain call at a burlesque show. The host wears an orange suit and sits in their wheelchair laughing in the foreground, with a cast of various performers standing side by side in the background.

THIS WAS A "WATCH FROM HOME/AVAILABLE ON DEMAND" SHOW WHICH WAS A RECORDING FROM 2022 - WHICH MEANS I GOT TO SEE AN OLD FRIEND JAMILA'S PERFORMANCE FINALLY! THIS CABARET WAS A COMBINATION OF BURLESQUE, SONG AND COMEDY PERFORMED BY DISABLED ARTISTS, ALL LED BY FANTASTIC HOST DIANA DIVINE. TRULY ACHIEVED ITS GOAL OF SHOWING ALL THOSE WITH DISABILITIES ARE CAPABLE OF!
With Great Power: The Wall-Crawling Cabaret - Digital illustration of a red webbed glove making "the shocker" hand sign, with index, ring, and pinky fingers extended. Next to the art is graphic comic book inspired text reading "WITH GREAT POWER: The Wall-Crawling Cabaret". The background is blue with a white web motif in one corner.

A BRILLIANT BURLESQUE SHOW STRUNG TOGETHER BY A LOOSE NARRATIVE THAT PAYS TRIBUTE TO SPIDER-MAN, HIS ALLIES AND HIS ENEMIES IN THE FUNNIEST AND SEXIEST WAY POSSIBLE. THE COSTUMES WERE EXCELLENT (HATS OFF TO DOC OC ESPECIALLY!) AND THE MUSIC CHOICES WERE SO FUN TO UNDERSCORE THE MANY STRIP-TEASES THROUGHOUT THE SHOW. NOT WHAT I EXPECTED BUT STILL SO FUN!
Isaac Humphries - Unearthed - A man sits in a theatre with red vinyl seats loosely holding a 1920s silver microphone as if ready to start singing.

THE 2024 FRINGE AMBASSADOR DELIVERED AN EXCELLENT SHOW, SHOWING OFF HIS GORGEOUS VOCAL TONE AND RANGE THROUGH A SERIES OF ORIGINAL AND COVER SONGS, INTERSPERSED WITH STORIES FROM HIS LIFE THAT WERE BOTH DARK AND LIGHT. IT WAS SUCH A DELIGHT TO WATCH HIM PROVE HE IS JUST AS AT HOME ON THE STAGE AS HE IS ON THE COURT (BUT ALSO. CAN YOU NOT BE SO GOOD AT EVERYTHING ISAAC?)
Galah Galah - A sky-blue backdrop. Gemma, who is tan with dark curly hair and bleached eyebrows, wears a hot pink dress and matching high-heel shoes, she is sitting on the floor with her legs out and hands in her lap, surrounded by pink feathers. She is looking a bit defeated and looking off to the side.

A STUNNING SOPHOMORE CABARET WHICH JOURNEY'S THROUGH THE ANECDOTES AND RELICS OF THE PERFORMER'S LIFE IN A I MEMOIR STYLE - THE SHOW IS REFLECTIVE, FUNNY AND TOUCHING WITH GREAT ORIGINAL SONGS, EXCELLENT TECH, AND A TRUE PERFORMER WITH AN ENERGY AND ESSENCE THAT CAPTURES AUDIENCES.

A MOD. EXHIBITION EXAMINING HOW BROKEN THE WORLD'S SYSTEMS ARE (AND ALWAYS HAVE BEEN) AND PRESENTS POSSIBILITIES FOR FUTURE SYSTEMS. PIONEERING CHANGE AND HOPE THROUGH THE MUSEUM'S CLASSIC INTERACTIVE PARTICIPATORY DISPLAYS. I REALLY ENJOYED MY HOUR WALKING AROUND THE SPACES AND WOULD'VE SPENT EVEN LONGER IN THERE IF I COULD'VE!
An Evening With JK - A duo-toned image with coral red and bright blue, Anna Piper Scott sits in an armchair looking smug on a coral background.

A FUNNY, INFURIATING, THOUGHT-PROVOKING SATIRE OF THE TERF WRITER WE ALL ONCE LOVED AND NOW HATE - THIS IS A POWERFUL PLAY THAT INTERROGATES JK THE WAY SHE DESERVES, WRITTEN BY A TRANS WOMAN (WHO ALSO PERFORMS THE TITULAR ROLE IN A WAY HER REAL-LIFE COUNTERPART WOULD DESPISE)
Oscar-Winning Improv - Oscar-Winning Improv - An actor, with a pipe and a script, thrusting an Academy Award statue towards the camera with great gravitas.

A BLOODY HILARIOUS SHOW WITH A GREAT CONCEPT - THE ACTORS (WHO WORK REALLY WELL TOGETHER BTW) PERFORM THE FIRST 3 MINUTES OF AN OSCAR WINNING FILM DIRECTLY FROM THE SCRIPT (YOU CAN BYO TO CHALLENGE THEM WITH!) AND THEN IMPROVISE THE REST OF THE "FILM" FROM THERE. OUR SHOW, HOT ON THE HEELS OF THE 2024 OSCAR'S EARLIER IN THE WEEK, WAS BARBIE AND IT WAS UNHINGED THERE WERE SOME DICEY AND RANDOM MOMENTS BUT THAT'S IMPROV BABY!)
