Ange was both endearing and entertaining. A power ball of energy, she drew everyone's attention from beginning to end as she took us on a journey that was funny, honest and heartfelt. And it was one of those shows you could get something new from by watching multiple times. Go see it if you can - definitely worth it!

Nona Mona shares her vulnerability with irreverence and sensitivity. She's real, relateable, sexy and very funny. Hot Mess a coming of (nearly middle) age story told by a natual comedian and performer. You'd never guess it's Nona's first Fringe show. I can't wait to see what she does next.

She is holding his head to her chest as she digs spears into his back. The blood dripping from his wounds matches the red matador outfit she is wearing and her red ballet pointe shoes. He has his eyes closed with a peaceful expression as he submits to her.

I have to admit, I was looking forward to the whole "Uncle Chop Chop" thing, but it seems there's less 'Chopper' the character now, more just the essence used to deliver a certain style of humour. It was still an hilarious show! Heath Franklin's jokes are opinionated and relateable, and not for the easily "triggered". He's sharp and clever, and the crowd loves him like an old friend. Pity it was just the one show.

Tonight at AdeLoL I learnt that truth is stranger than fiction & much funnier. The Birdman of the Coorong was an ostrich-riding bushranger in the late 1800s who rode naked to the waist adorned with gold necklaces! This multi-layered tale also touched on pegging, which I googled later. 😮 There are 2 more shows with different content - no doubt hilarious & heaps good. 💎

What's great about this show is that each one is different. You never know what the content will be until you're listening to it. Tonight we learned the story of John Pegotty, the blinged-up, miniature Meningie highwayman who's getaway vehicle was an ostrich. Dan chooses the subject, Tom provides the quips, neither knows what the other will say, and it all makes for a fun history lesson.
