As their premiere performance in Australia, KEEP IN TOUCH! highlights the amazing talents of the Taiwanese cast, showcasing their joyful juggling, precarious pantomime, and amazing acrobatic skills. Featuring a rocking arc-shaped prop, audiences are welcomed to the venue in Fool’s Paradise for a mix of physical comedy and an eccentric take on the art of connection.
The show begins with flashlights, a paper cup phone, and a mysterious cardboard box, drawing audiences in as the cast mimes and acts around the curious items. Fringe goers are then dazzled with multi-performer juggling and moving choreography, soon followed by the highlight of the show: the two-metre-tall, three-metre-wide metal arc used to see-saw cast members into the air. Saving the best for last, all performers get their chance to shine throughout the show.
The performers’ usage of the stage area is truly remarkable, especially considering the last minute change in venues. Despite having to re-organise and calibrate their act to a different space, the cast still showcase their brilliant balance and astounding acrobatic talents.
Kicking off their international debut after mastering their skills in Taiwan, KEEP IN TOUCH! gets audiences thinking not only on the balancing bodies but also the harmony between technology and reality. With two more shows left, they’re certainly one to watch.
