Listening to ghost stories is a long-held tradition that spans every culture and listening to Sarah Stewart is bewitching.

Filled with her own memories of supernatural encounters and housed in one of the oldest venues in Adelaide, Stewart’s narrative is hypnotic.

Her easy manner and fastidious research make her stories enchanting, like a warm hug when there is a storm outside.

As Stewart purports, she is a storyteller, not a medium or psychic and this serves to endear her even more to the packed room.

Stewart encourages audience stories and experiences, guiding the interaction carefully imbuing each audience member with a confidence that this is a safe space where vulnerability is respected, and each person is listened to.

While some had more experiences than others, the collective view was of an acceptance of the supernatural creating a strange electricity in the air of the room.

This piece was a seminal experience shared by all.

If you want to believe, you will by the time this show is concluded.
