The Adelaide Fringe cannot be missed!  This extraordinary festival that offers an opportunity for local, national, and international artists, performers, comedians, and more to showcase their passions to the public!
 
However, you may ask yourself the question ‘What is the Fringe?’, well you’re not the only one, and the Fringe has you covered!
 
Adelaide Fringe: A History takes you on an intriguing walk through all the famous Fringe locations within the Adelaide Fringe Chronicles. Starting off from the gates of Government House, and ending off in the Garden of Unearthly Delights, you get a first-hand account of what make the Fringe what it is.
 
From its humble beginnings in the 60s, you learn about the deep frustrations of Artists, searching for somewhere to showcase their creations. Through these shared frustrations, you visually see the impacts the artists had in helping establish the Fringe as what it is.
 
In the 70s you witness the first elements of the Fringe appears. From the arts reforms of South Australian Premier Don Dunstan, and vision for something fun, affordable, and accessible to people. You hear about the stories behind some of the decisions, both comedic, and ironic of Adelaide’s interesting history of customs.
 
In the 80s and 90s, you learn about the artistic decisions chosen for posters. With first person examples that will blow your mind.
 
The Tour is hosted by Flamboyance Tours, whose tour guides show an incredible dedication to the history and bringing you on the journey.
