Digital Shows may also have a strict no-latecomer policy and refunds will not be issued if you fail to access the Digital Platform at the required Digital Show start time.
Ratings and Content Warnings
Adelaide Fringe is an open access festival and does not see or curate any of the Shows prior to the festival. All Shows and Digital Shows are self-rated by the Artists or Producers or Presenters associated with a Show. Adelaide Fringe does not take any responsibility for an incorrect rating, or unsuitability of a Show.
Unless a Show is categorised as a Kids and Family Show or tagged as Family Friendly, the content may not be suitable for all ages. It is your responsibility to check the suitability of a Show for any children for whom you are purchasing tickets. This includes when purchasing tickets at a Box Office or through the Call Centre.
The venue which you are attending reserves the right to request proof of age identification before permitting entry into a Show, and may deny entry if the work is not deemed suitable for children.
Some venues may have liquor licensing in place that does not allow under 18s entrance past a certain time, even if accompanied by an adult. If unsure, you are advised to contact the venue.
The rating 18+ is strictly restricted to patrons 18 or older. This could be due to content of the Show or liquor licensing regulations at the venue. If you purchase a ticket that is for an 18+ performance and you are denied admittance, you will not be refunded the ticket price.
Dissatisfaction with the content or rating of a Show or Digital Show does not entitle the customer to a refund.
Every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the program and its details, however Show details, prices and ratings are subject to change wherever necessary and without notice.
Digital Platform and Digital Shows
By purchasing a ticket for a Digital Show, you are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable right to view, rent, subscribe to, and stream the Digital Show through the Digital Platform. This right is subject to any conditions specified by the Presenter or Adelaide Fringe at the time of purchase.
Adelaide Fringe (including if requested by the Presenter) reserves the right to disable your Account or access to the Digital Platform or any Digital Show at any time if, in Adelaide Fringe’s or the Presenter's opinion, you have failed to comply with any of the provisions of this Agreement.
The Digital Platform and any Digital Shows access through it are for your own personal and non-commercial use only. You are prohibited from:
(a) using the Digital Platform or Digital Shows for educational or commercial purposes
(b) accessing the Digital Show on any device that you do not own or control
(c) distributing or making the Digital Show available over a network where it could be used by multiple devices simultaneously
(d) copying, decompiling, reverse engineering, disassembling, attempting to derive the source code of, modifying or creating derivative works of the Digital Show or Digital Platform, or any part thereof, except as expressly permitted by this Agreement or applicable law.
No part of the Digital Platform or any Digital Show may be copied, reproduced, or monitored using any automatic device or manual process, nor may you circumvent or modify any security technology or software that is part of the Digital Platform.
You indemnify Adelaide Fringe and the relevant Presenters from any liability, damage, losses, or reasonable costs arising from your breach of this Agreement in connection with your use or access to the Digital Platform or Digital Shows.
If you choose to access the Digital Platform or Digital Shows from locations outside Australia, you do so at your own risk and are responsible for compliance with local laws.
Cancellation and Refund Policy for Digital Shows
Subject to your consumer rights under the Australian Consumer Law, all sales of Tickets to Digital Shows are final and all charges from those sales are non-refundable unless faulty. Due to the nature of the Digital Platform and Digital Shows, it is not possible to cancel your purchase once Adelaide Fringe has sent you an email confirmation of your purchase to a Digital Show.
The purchase of a Digital Show Ticket ‘Watch from Home’ does not entitle you admission into a live (in person) performance and will not be refunded in the case of purchasing the incorrect ticket type.
You shall be entitled to notify Adelaide Fringe of any faulty Digital Show streamed by you within 24 hours of the purchase of the Digital Show. Adelaide Fringe shall permit you to stream the same Digital Show in replacement of the original faulty Digital Show at no cost if in its reasonable opinion Adelaide Fringe deems the original Digital Show to be corrupt, malfunctioning or inoperable on your system. Adelaide Fringe may contact Presenters to correct the issue, but there is no guarantee that this will be rectified.
Access to View Digital Shows
While we endeavour to ensure that the Digital Platform is normally available 24 hours a day, we cannot be held responsible if for any reason the Digital Platform is unavailable at any time or for any period.
Access to the Digital Platform may be suspended temporarily and without notice in the case of system failure, maintenance or repair or for reasons beyond our control.
You are responsible for obtaining Internet access to the Digital Platform from where you are in order to use the Digital Platform and view any Digital Show. We cannot be held responsible for your failure to access or use the Digital Platform from any location or browser. Any access fees incurred in reaching the Digital Platform (e.g. dial up charges) and any equipment necessary to access the Digital Platform and view any Digital Show are your responsibility.
Owing to the nature of the Internet and the fact that your access to the Digital Platform involves functionality outside our control, we cannot be held responsible for technical problems that you may experience with the Digital Platform.
We do not guarantee that the Digital Platform and any Digital Show will be compatible with your computer or systems. While we try to provide the Digital Platform using all reasonable care, we cannot be held responsible for any corruption or loss of data held on your computer, or any damage caused to your computer resulting from your use of the Service.
