Interested in becoming an arts or festival volunteer in South Australia? You’ve come to the right place!

Adelaide Fringe volunteers are the heart and soul of our festival—and we’d love for you to be part of it.

In the lead-up to and during the festival season, our amazing team of over 150 passionate and diverse volunteers work hand-in-hand with the Fringe team to bring the magic to life. Whether it’s supporting one-of-a-kind events, helping visitors navigate the Fringe program, or ensuring every festival-goer has an unforgettable experience, our volunteers make it all happen.
Volunteer registrations for 2026 will open in November.

Volunteer Recruitment Process

Step 1: Application Submission
Applications open from late November to early December and can be submitted via Be Collective, our official volunteer management portal.

Step 2: Application Review & Acceptance
Applications will be assessed in two to three rounds. If you're successful, you’ll receive an offer and will have 5 days to confirm your spot on the volunteer team.

Step 3: Induction & Training
All confirmed volunteers will receive an onboarding pack and must attend an induction session, along with completing any required training prior to the festival.

We provide training to all of our volunteers through our Access and Community Partners and in line with our Reconciliation Action Plan, Sustainability Action Plan and Disability Access and Inclusion Plan. These include training in cultural awareness and understanding, accessibility, and customer service.
