Venue Access Tiers

Adelaide Fringe is committed to addressing systemic barriers and making your Fringe experience as welcoming as possible. We are very excited to present further improvements for Fringe 2020 such as our new venue accessibility tier system!

The system exists to support patrons with a wide variety of access needs to be informed with the most accurate and up to date information about Fringe venues accessibility in 2020.

All criteria must be met in order for a venue to be included in a tier. Gold, Silver, Bronze. Please remember that if a venue does not fit into one of the tiers does not mean that they do not have facilities or services for your needs. Make sure you read the accessibility offerings of each venue thoroughly.

This information for each criteria is collected during the registration process in our registration platform, AVR. The information is provided to Adelaide Fringe by the venues and used to place each venue in a tier.

For 2020 we are working with the information provided to us by the venues in response to the questions asked during their registration. If there is criteria you think is missing from the tiers and that we should be asking the venues in their registration please let us know by submitting feedback to access@adelaidefringe.com.au and we will look to add it in our registration flow for 2021.

All feedback is welcome and encouraged. As this is our first year rolling out this initiative, we recognise that we might get some things wrong, may have missed some detail, or missed the mark completely! Please let us know your feedback, what you want from the venues in regards to accessibility and what is needed by the community so we can continue to support and educate venues about accessibility.

All criteria will be verified in person by our venue audit team throughout the festival and beyond to ensure the information provided by the venues in AVR is accurate and up to date.

Feedback can be provided about the venues accessibility to access@adelaidefringe.com.au
