Music • Cabaret
South Australia

From a sold-out season at Adelaide Fringe 2019, Victoria pays homage to Carole King’s timeless album, performing 'Tapestry' cover to cover, with peoples’ stories of how King’s songs have accompanied them through life, featuring a full-size grand piano at stunning Urrbrae House.

★★★★ “Traeger immerses herself in Carole King.” Fest-mag 2019.

Songs are time machines; they transport us to treasured moments and every moment is a story. This heart-warming show is about those stories, "…a tapestry to feel and see, impossible to hold…" to quote Carole King.

Told in Victoria’s trademark humble, honest and deeply candid style, the show is “an amazing experience, emotive and beautiful. I loved this show – if it was a movie, I’d have bought another ticket and gone straight back in. Thank you."

Why Tapestry?
At 20 years of age a good friend of mine told me to listen to Carole King's Tapestry. What a wise and beautiful gift, lasting over 25 years. Tapestry has been with me through love, marriage, divorce and utter chaos. Those songs are my friends. My heart soars with Natural Woman, breaks with It's Too Late and yearns with Home Again. Each and every song feels like warmth, like....love.
The first song I learnt was Will You Love Me Tomorrow, then slowly I learnt another, then another. After a few years I realised I'd learnt them all!
At this point, those songs had become part of me...what now?
Carole's Tapestry has touched millions of people, the songs are woven into our lives. The songs live on through peoples' stories...
