Tough Boys

The year is 1975. Louis Sinclair may be many things, but a tough guy he is not. However, this is the destiny his father – a highly successful ‘tradesman’ to Adelaide’s criminal underworld – has bestowed upon him. After the success of Pretty Boys (2017) and Choir Boys (2019), Adelaide’s multi-award-winning Festival Statesmen Chorus return with their latest original a cappella, ‘70s jukebox musical: 'Tough Boys.'

Featuring the music of Stevie Wonder, Fleetwood Mac, ELO, and of course The Doobie Brothers, this show is sure to please ‘70s fans, old and young alike. Join us for a wild ride, but be careful not to touch the ‘sherbet’.

Presented by: Festival Statesmen Chorus

Formed in April 2009 by Musical Director and Educator Jonathan Bligh, The Festival Statesmen Chorus is a dynamic all-male A Cappella vocal group. With repertoire ranging from Contemporary to Classical, this chorus exists to provide a platform for Adelaide singers to achieve vocal and performance excellence. The chorus has headlined a number of choral festivals all across Australia and regularly runs workshops for secondary school students. The lads have won a whole swag of awards over the years in various genres. We've also hosted 3 Sold-Out shows in the Adelaide Fringe. In 2018, the Festival Statesmen took out 1st place in the National Barbershop Convention with the highest score in Australian history from the international panel of judges.
