MJ & The Blue Progression reimagine your favourite contemporary songs, retro-refitting them as smooth swing. This 6-piece band will have the joint jumping with classics from Michael Jackson, Queen & The Doors through to Daft Punk, Lorde & Meghan Trainor.

MJ & The Blue Progression is an Adelaide based jazz and swing collaboration whose members have each extensively contributed to the local, national and international music scene for decades.

The band's lively performances have for years been popular events on the Adelaide Fringe scene. Be sure to add their Fringe events to your calendar.

Mary-Jane (MJ) Hendry fronts the band and provides vocals with Stephen Stone – guitar and vocals. The horn section is provided by David Fletcher – trumpet and flugelhorn, Andrew Vince – sax. Keeping the rhythm moving steadily along is Tom Stehlik – drums and David Bentley – bass and vocals.
