CANCELLED - On the Wild Side - The life and music of Lou Reed and the Velvet Underground
Despite their brief existence, the Velvet Underground was one of the most influential bands in Rock history; "the number three band of the '60s" (Robertchristgau.com). Following their disbandment in 1970, band leader Lou Reed went on to establish a 40+ year solo career, releasing 20 studio albums, including the David Bowie-co-produced album Transformer, considered an influential landmark of the Glam-Rock genre, including the hit Walk on the Wild Side, a salute to the misfits and hustlers surrounding Andy Warhol.
In this 2-hour show local band Roadhouse will play many of Lou Reed's (and the Velvets') best songs while revealing this most fascinating life story through narration by David Grybowski. Meal and Show & Show only tix available. Meals 6:00pm, Show 8:00pm. Book now!
