Matt Byrne has been a Playwright,Theatre Critic, Arts Writer, Producer, Director, Designer, Publicist, Actor and Entrepreneur for the past 40 years.
He has worked professionally in theatre restaurant, taken two of his Fringe shows to the Edinburgh Fringe and toured three of his Fringe shows to the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
He is celebrating 22 years of Fringe comedies at Maxim's Wine Bar, including Barrackers, Pricks, Chalkies, Virgins, P.I.G.S., Bogans, dateless.com, The Luv Boat, Chunderbelly, Hott Property. W.A.G.S., The Penis Principles and My Kitchen Fools.
Matt is also Sunday Mail Arts Writer and presents major musicals like The Phantom Of The Opera, Mary Poppins, Wicked, Hairspray, We Will Rock You, and next year will present the Premiere of Strictly Ballroom!
