Joni Mitchell's Daughter

Cabaret • Theatre
South Australia
Few bodies of musical work to rouse and inspire as that of the legendary Joni Mitchell.

But what do we know about the lifelong heartache of Mitchell, secretly giving birth to and giving up for adoption, a daughter just a year before going on to unthought-of artistic successes? And what, indeed, is the relationship between motherhood and 'otherhood'?

This "Best Cabaret" Fringe Weekly Award winning show (★★★★ Advertiser) is a beautiful, poetic, female-lead piece of theatre. Not just for fans of Joni Mitchell's songbook and legacy (although such fans will be thoroughly satisfied), nor only for fans of Olam's "mellifluous" voice and "extraordinary" stagecraft, but for ALL lovers of good music, good theatre and good storytelling.
