Another G & S for you, Sir and Madam!

Music • Classical
The Adelaide Male Voice Choir was formed in 1884 as the Adelaide English Glee Society, and although it has changed its name it hasn't changed its commitment to providing top quality performances of great music for the enjoyment of the South Australian community. This concert features highlights from a number of Gilbert and Sullivan comic operas, which were all the rage around the time the Choir was established. As guest soloist with the Choir, well-known opera baritone Andrew Turner demonstrates his versatility and panache in a variety of roles. The witty lyrics, effervescent melodies and lively social commentary are as fresh and relevant today as ever. Who are today's pirates or magicians? Have a good time guessing, as you sit back and enjoy a delightful performance.
