Adelaide Chinese Orchestra – A collaboration of School of Chinese Music & Arts’ Chinese section of guzhengs, pipa, liuqin, dizi and ruan, together with Woodville High School’s strings, percussion and brass. This orchestra is a community project, developed for South Australian youth to explore diversity through arts and music.

Due to unforeseen reasons, this show will now be An Oriental Flair, brought to you by School of Chinese Music and Arts. Featuring some of Adelaide’s best artists from diverse backgrounds, we will be presenting Noriko Tadano on Shamisen, Jennifer Trijo from ‘Someday – A mindful Cabaret’, David Wei-han Dai on Erhu with exceptional traditional vocalist Cindy Fan and pianist Ben Bai.

This is a not to miss show – featuring a cultural rich experience with some of our best artists and musicians in South Australian scene. Come along and enjoy the afternoon with loved ones in a family friendly setting. This show is certain to be refreshing - A colourful show in sight and to enjoy!

School of Chinese Music & Arts is dedicated to connecting Oriental-Asian culture to the Australian community through music, in particular Chinese music. Artistic Principal, Zhao Liang, is an exciting and highly accomplished performer, with a heart for the community and touch of an artist.

Recent years the school has been dedicated in developing multicultural arts and music programs for the community, such as
Multicultural Storytime (Multicultural SA, City of Playford, City of West Torrens)
and Family Phonics (City of Salisbury). Our artistic projects have been supported by Multicultural SA, Arts SA, Adelaide Festival Centre, Art Gallery SA, University of Adelaide, OzAsia Festival and Nexus Arts.
