The Fringe Guide is the only full listing guide to what's on in the Fringe, and is the key marketing tool for every Fringe event, which means you have to get your listing right!
Event Description in the Fringe Guide
Your registration fee entitles you to a 50 word event description in the Adelaide Fringe 2009 Fringe Guide. The Fringe environment is a competitive one and your entry will be in direct competition with many other shows and events that are listed and vying for the attention of audiences. Think carefully about your 50 words, they will snare your audience, but could also make them skim over to the next entry. Imagine yourself as a Fringe punter and then think about your show. What is your event about? What style is it? The golden rule is to make sure you provide good, clear and consice details and hopefully, by the end of the event description, the reader will be better informed, and persuaded to try it out.
Fringe Guide Event Listing Acceptance Through FERS
FERS enables you to view a sample of how your event listing(s) will appear in the Fringe Guide, and to make changes to the Presenter and Production Company names if required. Once the entry is complete and any required changes have been made, you'll need to accept the guide entry online in FERS. To do this you will need to print, sign and return the acceptance page (found in FERS) to the Fringe office, either by post, fax or in person.
Once registrations close, all event data will then be downloaded to our graphic design team, who will then lay out the event listings to become the Adelaide Fringe Guide. The Artist Services team will then spend many late nights proofing the listings against your sign off sign offs to ensure that each entry in the Fringe Guide is exactly what the artist has signed off on. There is a very tight turn around for this, and it is vital for you to return your sign off to us as soon as you complete your registration.
